State and Regional Funds State and Regional Funds are made up of regional, state or local funders whose grantmaking may be geographically circumscribed and whose local knowledge and relationships adds value to a collaborative process. State/Regional Funds are set up to seed local racial justice innovation in key geographic areas and to help build support on the ground for the work. The goal is to facilitate healthy and productive relationships between community activists and lawyers. There are currently State/Regional Funds in California, Massachusetts-Rhode Island and North Carolina.
